#1 Emo music for those that aren’t emo

Me? I would say I’m a pseudo-hipster, preppy, gangster, though not to anyone in public. As I myself am not an emo, I find the whole emo “thing” kind of annoying. A number of my friends were, are or want to be emos, so I have some knowledge of the culture. And of course in my more formidable years (ie. the summer of 2005) I could be caught jamming to Fall Out Boy and the like. But I digress, my goal is to introduce the sad few that come across this blog the screaming world of emo music, through easy to digest blog posts.
First lets start off with something simple to move your razorblades along with, Beauty in the Breakdown, an acoustic tearfest that should have you sobbing and flipping your hair in minutes.

With the month of March quickly approaching a song called “The Ides” seems somewhat appropriate, or perhaps it doesn’t. I don’t really care. I just happen to be enjoying it quite a bit lately and perhaps anyone the stumbles upon this sorry excuse for a blog will also. With strange lyrics and a voice with a monotonic quality, frYars is extremely unique and pleasing to listen to.
